Engine & Fuel System etc 265 HP M.W.M. engine which was rebuilt in 1980 with a new tailshaft and bearings added at the same time. Electrical 4 solar panels for free hot water in the summer months. 400 watt U.S.A wind turbine for charging 2 new banks of 24 volt batteries.

Accommodation She has seperate living accomodation in what was the original crew quarters, with 1 double bedroom, large front room with small log burner, galley, toilet/wet shower room.
Oil fired central heating.
The hold is converted using nearly all reclaimed timber, and includes substantial wooden beams, giving it an old world appeal. It is an enormous space (75 feet x 22.3 feet) with potential for more conversion. A wooden floor has been added above one section, (main bedroom and bathroom area) but is in place ready for an upward extension.
Huge living room area.
The hold also contains owners workshop, (20 feet x 22 feet) which also has a wooden floor added. Workshop contains a table saw and chop saw, tools and lots of wood which will all come with the boat.(workshop also has wooden floor above for another possible future extension). |

This Lady is an authentic Dutch Steel Gronningham Tjalk.
Made for cruising Dutch canals, she benefits from a very low air draft and is very easy to handle. She has a cosy warm interior which is enhanced by the wooden joinery. She would be a cosy liveaboard for a couple. However there is plenty of room to have visitors to stay.
The current owner fell in love with this vessel in Holland. She sailed her back and has used her as a liveaboard.
She is located in a marina which is convenient for motorway and rail links to London and the Channel Tunnel. She is not being offered with her present mooring, however the owner informs me that the new buyer should be able to approach the marina management for permission to remain.

A traditional Dutch Barge commonly known as a 'Luxemotor Barge'. Its Distinctive appearance cannot be mistaken. Originally, this was designed and built as a motorship. She would have been used to ferry goods along inland and coastal waterways. They lend themselves to conversion and make first class liveaboards.
This vessel came out of service in 1980 and was converted in Rotterdam with work completed in 1982. She travelled to the United Kingdom in 2001 and settled on the Medway in Kent where she has provided her current owners with a lovely lifestyle.
This is an excellent example of its type. The vessel offers well proportioned and spacious accommodation. The internal fittings are very well appointed. I found the vessel to be very homely and comfortable. She has a most definite feel which I liked.
Recently, the hull has been replated and I felt that she was very solid.
If you are looking for a good liveaboard then this most certainly has to be on your list.
