History
Dutch built Hagenaar Aak by Hendriks of Dodewaard in 1914 for the Den Haag vegetable trade. Taken out of trade in 1982 and converted for residential use. Purchased in 1998 by the current owners and used to cruise the European waterways and as their home in the UK, extensively cruise around the River Thames. The boat is currently located in Cookham ready to be moved to it’s new home!
The boat comes with an extensive history on maintenance, last survey and blacking done at Eel Pie Island. The owners are happy to move the boat if a purchaser wishes to have their own survey carried out.

Hull & Exterior
Hull
All steel-riveted hull with welded superstructure and equipped for cruising and living aboard. Surveyed 2021 at Eel Pie Island Slipway by John Heath. Protective overplating exists from aft end of original hold to stern and on both bow cheeks.
Hull and main deck original 1914. Deckhouses, Guardrails and aft deck date from 1982.
Hull plating – Rivetted Iron 5mm nominal over plating 5mm welded steel.

Forward Cabin – King-size water bed with 4 drawers under, Cherry faced ply panelling. 4 fitted wardrobes cherry – three mirrored with shelves above, shoe cupboard, bedside lights, radiator. Two cherry framed windows (port side opens) and roof hatch, 6 recessed LED overhead lights. Powder fire extinguisher.
Bathroom – Red Mermaid panelling, solid wood floor, Porcelanosa spa bath with shower over, wash-hand basin, 8 cream fitted cupboards (two mirrored), macerating pump-out loo, heated towel rail (both electric and central heating). 4 recessed LED overhead lights. Opening window to starboard. Extractor fan and bath overboard discharge pump.
Passageway – Cherry panelling, two fitted cupboards window to port, solid wood floor. Two recessed LED overhead lights.
Kitchen – 8 recessed ceiling lights, windows both sides, opening window is the starboard one, two opening roof hatches, solid wood floor. Forward bulkhead cherry panelling. Corian worktops and sink to starboard cupboards under – fridge with freezer forward, integrated dishwasher. Electric oven and microwave at aft end – drawers to port, corner cupboard to starboard. Breakfast island with wood worktops, bookshelf and cupboards under. Yellow diesel Rayburn on aft bulkhead. Two ring hob for summer use. Cherry port side cupboards under sidedeck – four cupboard and cupboard with drinks storage over, large wine rack and cupboard over. Tank gauge for water, black water and fuel. CH radiator. 4 solid wooden stairs to Saloon / Wheelhouse.
Wheelhouse / Saloon – Generous saloon (5.1m x 2.9m) with tiled floor, doors port and starboard, panoramic views through 16 windows, with room for two sofas, easy chair, storage chest, dining table, and fitted bar/work space. Mahogany faced ply panelling and fittings. Wheel and all navigation equipment on forward bulkhead (See Navigation paragraph). Tiled floor. 6 24v LED wall lights. CH radiator and skirting radiators. 6L Foam Extinguisher. Hydraulic wheel steering.
Aft Cabin – Panelled and fitted in mahogany faced ply. Three stairs down from saloon. Utility cupboard. Two opening windows port and starboard, opening rooflight. Washing machine and storage to starboard. Fitted double cross bunk with storage at foot, head and underneath. Wash basin and macerating loo to port with storage forward. Shower enclosure forward bulkhead. Spares storage under bunk. Engine room door port forward. 6L Foam and CO2 extinguisher. 24V auto bilge pump for stern gland.
Engine Room – DAF 575 main engine, Northern Lights 10KVA 3ph generator, black water and diesel tanks, calorifier (hotwater tank) central heating boiler, inverter, battery chargers, 400 Ah Lead acid batteries, 24v shower and bilge pump, 24v auto bilge pump. Air compressor for horn. LED 240v flourescent lighting with 24v emergency lighting.
