Tirley is a former grain barge and is currently in the process of being converted into a boutique hotel, with owner accommodation. The design for the hotel operation would equally lend itself to a rental property, as the layout will provide for 4 large self contained units with kitchenettes. However, Tirley would also make a stunning house boat conversion, with living accommodation in excess of 1,500 square feet and 10 feet high ceilings - this could be either at her current length or shortened to meet your specific requirements. For an idea of the sort of space and quality of accommodation wh... read more

This is a fine example of the classic Humber Barge. Originally constructed as a ketch-rigged barge, she has worked the local waters all her life carrying dry goods along the Humber. For many years, in the hands of her current owner, a former bargee. She was Part 1 Registered and still retains her original "blue book". He has fitted her out extensively, with ample, spacious accommodation, but still requiring some finishing off, hence she is still something of a project. Exterior paintwork has all just been re-done. Her engine and gear are in good condition and appears seaworthy. These boat deta... read more

Built in 1895 and one of the last unconverted Sheffield size barges. Most have now been converted and are mainly down South, having left there Yorkshire heritage behind. She has a Lister 22hp engine which can be heard running. The hold is open and covered with hatchboards. Original winch. We believe she would have originally been built as a sailing barge and does have mast, sails and leeboards which we believe were from an old Thames sailing barge. This would be an ideal project for an enthusiast. Laying East Yorkshire.... read more

These boat details are subject to contract. This Humber Keel Barge benefits from being located on a Residential Mooring in Kent and this would be transferable to new owners subject to approval and contract with the marina operators. This vessel has quite a history and was owned by the naval cadets in Wandsworth between 1985 and 2003 so you would expect that they had to observe maintaining the vessel. The current owner had a survey when she bought the vessel and is currently looking for it. At that time she was confident to go ahead with the purchase. She has done a lot of work on the vesse... read more
