This stunning boat is truly one of a kind. She has been lovingly restored by the current owners from top to bottom using the finest materials. She is not only incredibly beautiful and stylish but also mechanically sound and functional having made the journey all the way from the Netherlands under her own steam. The barge offers everything you could need for a luxurious off-grid lifestyle.

History:

Built in 1915 in Alphen de Rijn by Boot Shipyard.
Originally a 22m sailing vessel. It was extended to 25m shortly after and again to 30m in the 1950's.
An engine was fitted in 1945, at which time the rigging was removed.
It was removed from commercial use at the end of the 1960's and converted into a house boat in the
1970's.

We bought her in a dilapidated state in 2018 and have fully restored and rebuilt her. Nothing that
you can see hasn't been replaced or renewed, and only to the highest standards. She was stripped
back to the bare hull, scrapped clean and greased and and whole new interior built. A full inventory
is below but it includes, replacement engine, gearbox, prop shaft and propeller, all new windows,
rebuilt anchor winch, AIS 2, new radio, all new plumbing and electrics, new insulation, solid oak
floors and work surfaces, hand built kitchen, and over 50m2 of overplating on the hull (2020 survey
provided).

She was brought back to the UK under her own steam, travelling over 500 nautical miles at sea
around Lands End and to her resting place on the Sharpness Canal. Full photo and video documentation of the

Before leaving Europe, the ship gained its Trivw certificate, which is valid for 7 years and means
that should the purchaser ever wish it, it can legally travel on the EU waterways and the permit can
be renewed with the boat lying in the UK.
She now lies just north of Parkend Swing Bridge on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal close to
Stroud. The boat is sold with a fully transferable commercial mooring, which includes 240v power
and water and a 120ft garden alongside and permission for a shed/sauna and to rent on Airbnb, with private
parking and on the non-public side of the canal. It is extremely peaceful and private.

Air bnb rental
Boat has earned £4k per month on air bnb May-September. Has never been rented outside that
period but I would expect earnings to lessen in the darker months. Expect £30k+ income per year, if
rented year round. Comes with air bnb account and super-host status.

The barge has had a sale valuation by a professional marine surveyor in August 2023 and was valued at £265,000. This is available on request.
