JOJA is a much loved and much admired Dutch Barge. She is for sale reluctantly due to other commitments. We purchased her in 2003.

She is a well maintained Dutch Barge, built in Holland in 1927, with the superstructure being fitted in England in 1956. She would suit as a liveaboard for one or two people.
What makes JOJA unique is the aft deck - a large canopy covered area for relaxing and entertaining.
She is appreciated up and down the river for her fine lines and good looks.
The central driving position means that she doesn't feel like a big boat when driving - she benefits from great visibilty and responsive steering.

In 2004, years of exterior overpainting were completely removed back to metal.
In 2005 she was completely rewired and replumbed (Water and Gas).
In 2008 the Hull was plated around the waterline with a 300mm x 6mm steel band.
Shortly after a new Propellor and shaft were fitted.
In 2016 the Hull was blacked and the anodes were inspected as okay.
In 2020 the exterior was repainted with Toplac International and Interdeck paints - the interior was also repainted.
In 2020 she had a new Victron Battery Charger fitted.
In 2021she was out of the water for a full Hull survey which noted that remedial work to the hull was required - this was completed to a very high standard by 4 All Marine in Chertsey, who have overplated most of the hull with 6mm steel, alongside fitting 10 new anodes and new blacking. The work was inspected by the surveyor and the report updated. A full insurance survey will also be provided.
This work, at a cost to us of @£18,000, will give JOJA many more years of life on the river.

JOJA has a Boat Safety to 2026 and is currently lying in Chertsey, Surrey.

She is deemed unsuitable for Canal cruising as is too deep in the water.

In 2021 she was spotted by Netflix who wanted to use her in their new series 'Half Bad' - she features at the start of, and throughout, episode 6, which can be viewed on Netflix.

She is currently being redecorated and having some work done on the gearbox - should a purchaser wish to buy her and take on this work an agreement could be reached on price. This work will be completed in the next 2 months.
