Friso is a twin-masted Paviljoen Tjalk, built 1894 in Waspik, Netherlands. She has been my home for the last 32 years during which time much work has been done, and re-done, that has made her a wonderful home and a beautiful sailing tjalk. Since 1992, Friso has been drydocked and surveyed every 4 or 5 years and all works identified undertaken. She has been re-rigged with the masts, spars and rigging renewed and has four working sails: a new main and fok (jib), a staysail and mizzen.
