Vrouw Aaltje was built in 1904 and was formally a cargo boat between The Netherlands and Belgium. She was then a very well-kept leisure boat spending time in Zealand NL and Paris.
She was brought to the UK in 2014 and has lived the last nine years in London on the Thames where she was adapted for liveaboard use but she has retained all her sailing capabilities.
She is a charming boat in very good condition and has been well-looked after.

Was built in Snakkerburen Frisland and was used as an inland and coastal cargo transport boat.

Pretty 1896 Dutch sailing barge Vol Vertrouwen ('with confidence'). Many original features, including Delft-tiled galley area and stove surround, beautiful (inside and out) teak saddleback roof (with sky-lights) and teak interior, steel superstructure. Built in 1905, by Humphrey and Grey, in iron, she was a bonded, spirit barge, mainly carrying tea (unrigged). She had sweeps to navigate on the tides fitted, also with a rudder and tiller steering. From 1958 she became one of four training barges for, Lightermen on the River Thames, during which time she had a new bottom and rubbing band.
