All Tjalk Barges for sale in the UK
A tjalk built in 1926 in Holland. Weighing in at just over 23 tonnes. She’s 65 foot by 13’9 built with high quality steel. She’s complete with all sailing rigging which is very hard to come by as the majority of these have been badly converted and now incomplete. She’s a cosy barge with amazing wood panelling and a stunningInterior. She’s heated by a multi fuel log burner with a back boiler which heats five radiators. There’s plenty of storage aboard the vessel. All electrics are 24volt with a 240 volt socket running off a victron power inverter. She has two... read more

Wilhelmina was our pride and joy, we took her from a dilapidated hull to a fully fitted beautiful home, I am a steel boatbuilder so I built the decks and cabin then using my contacts fitted the inside, we didn't do this as a 'do up and sell' boat so everything was built with that little extra care,
she was built in 1886 as part of celebrations surrounding the then queen of the Netherlands Wilhelmina, originally a sailing vessel. a little is known of her history but in the 60s she was overplated and re engined in chatham docks - this is speculation but I believe it was done usi... read more

I am reluctantly selling my dutch barge. I bought her in Amsterdam 9 years ago and sailed her back to the UK through the Dutch and Belgium canals, then across the English channel into the River Thames. I have spent the last few years restoring her, she has had the cabin space extended with a new super structure at the bow and a new steel roof throughout, a full internal fit out, new 12v and 230v systems, Webasto central heating (with the ability to control it from an app), making her a comfortable space to live.
She is currently moored on a residential berth in Gravesend (£400/month) in... read more

She seems to have been well maintained and cared for by her current owners, who have now moved ashore. A recent survey was completed less than two years ago
A brief history as well as some owners comments are given below:
