Successfully selling boats since 1995, ABNB's constant aim is to provide the standard of service of yesteryear which is so often missing in today's self-centered hectic lifestyle and our commitment to providing a friendly, professional service is second to none.

Our collective boating experience encompasses all aspects of the cut and it is difficult to envisage an area of the canal world in which we wouldn't be able to offer you constructive advice and support, be it realising your dream or hanging up your windlasses.

ABNB started life as the brainchild of Andy Burnett whilst he was the Technical Editor of Waterways World, the popular magazine still at the forefront today. In the early 90's brokers would only sell boats that were taken to their sales base but many vendors were reluctant to abandon their pride and joy, even though they were selling. ABNB pioneered and perfected selling boats from their home moorings which enabled the vendors to participate in the sales process, an opportunity welcomed by many. As the business grew, Crick Wharf became the home of ABNB, enabling boats to also be sold from Crick.

Each boat offered on brokerage includes:

* A very detailed and unrivalled 4-page colour brochure, with a scaled line drawing of the boat

* Dedicated page on our website, www.abnb.co.uk

* An individual detailed display in our Crick Wharf office

* Coverage in National publications

* Individual feature display at Crick & IWA Shows

Potential buyers can:

* View the sales brochure on-line or receive a copy in the post

* View boats at Crick Wharf seven days a week, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm

* View any outlying boat (by appointment only)

* Contact ABNB for impartial advice

* Secure a boat with a fully refundable deposit (up to the point of contract exchange)

* Be confident by using an ABYA Accredited Broker (see www.abya.co.uk)

* Be secure in the knowledge that ABNB operates a ring-fenced Client Account

With a shell from Tim Tyler, part of the Tyler/Wilson dynasty, you are not only getting a well proportioned, good looking boat but one that will swim superbly as well. Although this boat is of traditional profile the design of the stern could be described as the best of all worlds. A large hatch incorporating a smaller one, slides forward to give the equivalent space of a semi-trad boat, thus allowing crew members to keep the steerer company. There is also a ‘pram-type’ cover which can be quickly lowered or kept in the raised position for when the weather is not at its best. Do... read more

New in 2013, Meander has certainly had a very easy life as can be seen by the internal condition and the low engine hours. With a cabin length of 50ft and only four berths (the forward saloon sofa bed could also accommodate two children), this is a very spacious boat indeed. When two couples are cruising together, each have access during the night to toilet facilities without disturbing the other crew members, with the aft master bedroom having what could be described as an en-suite. The cook aboard Meander will enjoy the large galley which is complete with both a full size cooker and a microw... read more

Traditional style narrowboat which is comfortably within the ʻgo-anywhereʼ length, which will enable you to travel on the whole of the connected canal and river system. Hamlet is compact in terms of the overall boat length, at just over 50ft, but still manages to include everything on board necessary for comfortable cruising. The internal layout includes a permanent double, with galley and shower rooms of a size often found on much longer craft. The forward saloon features L-shape seating with a large stowable table for meals, that converts to make a cosy double berth to accommodate your ... read more

A distinctive feature of Maude is the pram cover over the semi-trad deck, that will keep both the steerer, crew and the deck itself protected from the elements. This sheltered area along with the cratch covered well deck can provide ample space for the dry storage of items outside the interior cabin. The pram cover also has the benefit of having removable side panels that allow the deck to either be partially open (as seen in the above photo) or completely closed off. The interior has been fitted out in light ash by Lees Narrowboats, including stylish granite worktops in both the galley and th... read more

Originally built and fitted out by Harborough Marine, Wet Wair has had a change of name (originally Ruby), and has had a considerable amount of money spent on a complete internal re-fit and external paint job by her current owner. This has created an open plan, REVERSE LAYOUT boat with the forward cabin converting from a second seating area into a bedroom. If family or friends come aboard, there is the added double bed on the converted Pullman dinette. The rear saloon is great for relaxing in front of the solid fuel stove, which is backed up with radiators throughout the rest of the cabin and ... read more
